The following walk leaflets can be purchased/obtained from various local outlets but they can also be downloaded free of charge from the following links (the titles are mostly self-explanatory):

INTRODUCTORY LEAFLET (Overview and map showing starting point of each numbered walk/route)

1. DENBY DALE TO SHEPLEY TRAIL An easy 4-mile walk from Denby Dale station to Shepley station.

2. DENBY DALE VILLAGE TRAIL A scenic 5-mile walk around the village of Denby Dale.

3. DENBY DALE ROUND WALK An 11 mile walk round the Denby Dale district.

4. DENBY AND CUMBERWORTH CIRCULAR TRAIL Pleasant 7 miles walk taking in two villages.

5. PEN-DEN TRAIL A 5½ mile scenic walk linking Penistone (South Yorkshire) and Denby Dale railway stations.

6. EMLEY CIRCULAR TRAIL Interesting walk approximately 6 miles long.

7 EMLEY BOUNDARY WALK A 14-mile walk around Emley and its surrounding countryside.

8. EMLEY VILLAGE TRAIL Approximately 3 miles long.

9. CLAYTON WEST CIRCULAR WALK A 6-mile walk round and about Clayton West, taking in a Green, a Shrogg and a Mine.

10. CLAYTON WEST VILLAGE TRAIL Allow a couple of hours for a leisurely 3 mile stroll around the scenic village of Clayton West.

11. SKELMANTHORPE CIRCULAR TRAIL A 10-mile walk introducing you to stretches of the Dearne Way, the Kirklees Way – and the Kirklees Light Railway.

12 SKELMANTHORPE VILLAGE TRAIL A scenic three-mile walk around the historic village of Skelmanthorpe.

13. OXLEY TRAIL A fun day out exploring the beautiful countryside in and around the Skelmanthorpe and Deffer Wood area.

14. PLAIN COUNTRY FRIENDS A choice of three short walks, either ¾ mile, 1½ miles or 3 miles in length, best explored at a gentle stroll, linking the historic High Flatts 'Quaker Village' and Upper Denby.
